SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, MAY 12, 2009. Teachers. Next to parents, there may not be another person in a child’s life that has more influence and impact on them and their future. Many days teachers might possibly spend more time with our kids than we do. There’s no question these hard-working, dedicated individuals deserve our utmost respect and appreciation. We’re saddened that in these turbulent, uncertain times teachers have been negatively affected. Discovery Church is reaching out to offer love and encouragement to these special people. Pastor Todd Clark will be bringing a message of appreciation, honor and hope for them on Saturday, May 16 @ 5:30 pm and Sunday, May 17 @ 9:00 am and 11:15 am. The uplifting hour will recognize our teachers in a personal, heartfelt way – just to let them know we care.
If you’re a teacher, come and bring your family so we may recognize you. If you know of a great teacher, invite them. If you care about our community and value the contributions our teachers make, please come and be a part of our Pink Weekend.
