Public aid sought in finding missing pair

SIMI VALLEY Public aid sought in finding missing pair reference link: http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2007/aug/02/no-headline---nb1bottomfeeder02fc/

The Simi Valley Police Department on Wednesday asked for the public's help in locating two people who have been reported missing.

Neither Robert J. Callender, 63, nor Barbara Callender, 62, has been seen since Saturday.

Robert's last known location was at his business in Burbank.

Barbara Callender last communicated with her family by telephone from her home in Simi Valley the same day.

Family members told police it is out of character for Robert Callender to miss work and business meetings, or for the Simi Valley couple to be out of contact with their family.

Police Lt. Paul Fitzpatrick said the circumstances surrounding the couple's disappearance are suspicious, but police have no reason to believe any specific crime has been committed.

Anyone with information about the couple's whereabouts is asked to call Simi Valley Police at 583-6950.
